Default PT 9 - Euro or $

We have been down this road before, but I don't get it - why do we have to pay MUCH more in Europe for the product. The difference between Euro and $ is way to much. We should have another price in Euro, so we would pay the same for the software.

Please!

PS. anywhere I can buy the software and pay in $?

+1

UK price upgrade is about £300

US $350

According to live exchange rates $350 = £215

So they're ripping us off even worse than EUR. Not that I'm actually buying it now, there's nothing there remotely interesting for us.

Are the upgrades available also from dealers or directly from Avid only?

They are available from dealers (e.g. Vintage King has it on their web site in USD).

Prices in Australia are also marked up for music products. I purchased and downloaded the PT HD 9 upgrade from Avid in US$. The Aussie dollar is now worth more than the US$, so I'm happy for once.
