Air virtual instruments not showing after AVID LINK says INSTALLED
Air virtual instruments not showing after AVID LINK says INSTALLED
I know how to select from drop-down menu the virt instruments, yet air is not in the plug-in. Why? during ilok activation PT artist said to activate to my laptop, then also has the option to activate to the cloud, so I did that too, (in case this may be a problem) |

Re: Air virtual instrumnets not showing after AVID LINK says INSTALLED
Breaking Onion News: Area man surprised to find hitting himself in the face with a hammer hurts.
The frequent advice on DUC is to uninstall Avid link, it’s known to be buggy/unreliable. It’s not a huge effort to just manage these installs yourself. |

Quote:
Not related to activation/authorization since PT is launching, and doesn't sound like a problem with Link. What's the "Organize Plug-In Menus By" setting in Setup > Preferences > Display (if set to Flat List or Category they won't be identified as "AIR"). Which specific instruments are you looking for? Can you share screenshots of your Track's insert > plug-in > Instrument (from PT) as well as the Products > Pro Tools > Included Apps & Plug-Ins from Link?

Re: Air virtual instrumnets not showing after AVID LINK says INSTALLED
One common goof is to try to use VI plugins on a MONO Instrument track(most need to be inserted on a stereo instrument track).

The included AIR VIs (Boom, DB-33, Mini Grand, etc.) can be used on Mono tracks. They just aren't named "AIR" in the pop-up unless you have the prefs set to include Manufacturer name.
