Default TBR PATCHBAY LAYOUT

All,
I know that I once was going to post my patchbay layout for people to look at. Well, work was slow today so I made a spreadsheet that shows how I wired up things. I am sure that there are other ways, and somethings are not fully wired, but this is how I run it and it works.

TBR PATCHBAY LAYOUT

I hope that this helps some of you new guys out with patchbay stuff. It is worth the money to WIRE up your stuff and have it there so all you do is patch (if that!) and just makes life easy!

Thanks,

- Doc

Thanks Doc.
I wish I had a patchbay! I wish I had excel for that matter. Can you copy the spreadsheet to a pdf or something, I just don't like adding all of that ms office stuff to my computer.

Thanks Doc, it's cool to see somebody else's patchbay layout. You inspired me to make a spreadsheet of my patchbay too (you're such a trend setter). Of course the gear connected to your patchbay is way better, but my stuff still gets the job done for me. There's a couple things that I have to add in to my patchbay still, but I need more rackspace. I'm still figuring it all out.

I'm a big dummy, and I'm still learning how to post links from my website, so if the links don't work let me know and I'll try to fix it.

That is the remote box for the central station, (monitoring, talkback, etc). The place looks great Chris. How do you like the Central Station? I have been thinking of selling my Benchmark DAC-1 and getting the central station along with the remote. Have you had any issues with it, and how do you route out of 002 into the Central Station?

Again the place looks great, been checking your website for updates but Im sure you been busy recording.

Peace Eddie

Third,
The 3124 will be sitting right below the TRIdent S 20. I then plan on getting another pair on X73i'd and slapping them right together with the other pair. That will finish the rack off for pres, set me at 24 channels, and hopefully set me up to go HD down the road. Trying to concoct a business plan to get what is required and really go from there. The API will be a NICE addition as it will be the 3124 +mb.

Eddie D,
So far I like the Central Station and the remote works great. I run S/Pdif out to the thing and it seems to give me a bit more depth in te mixes to my ears. I also have it running analog out from 1/2 so that I can switch between stuff so I can play MP3's from Media player and hae a CD player hooked to it as well. The talkback feature works great as my clients tell me. I have the talkback send going directly to my input 1 on the FURMAN so the entire mix right now gets sent out mono to that channel. I may switch it to a stereo channel, but for now it works.

Thanks,

- Doc
