Default Pro Tools 12 Crashes when importing .mxf or .aaf with such a video file [SOLVED]

Hello everyone!

i'm very excited writing my very first post. i've been reading the forum since a long time, but never had anything relevat to post until now. Sorry for my english.

I was fighting with pro tools crashes when importing aaf files, and then i discovered it was actually related to the video file.

After a lot of troubleshooting i could confirm, at least on my system, that my pro tools will crash every time when i try to import a .mxf file that has a file path greater then 172 characters.

And the same file works everytime when the file path is below that.

as an example i tested with such a file path to make it easier to count the characters:
C:\456789-123456789-123456789-123456789-123456789-123456789-123456789-123456789-123456789-123456789-123456789-123456789-123456789-123456789-123456789-123456789\123456789.mxf

mp4 files don't appear to have the same limitation. worked with more then 300 characters just fine.

Since i fought for many months with this problem, would love to share it with people having the same problem and would be very interested to know if this can be confirmed on other systems :)

SYstem info:

OS: Windows 10 x64
CPU: Intel i5-3337U 1.8GHz
RAM: 6GB
Pro Tools 12.8.1
Video File: .mxf codec DNxHD 25fps 1920x1080
