Keyboard shortcuts - duplicate menu item names
Dear Digi:
Although you think you assigned every possible key command to PT7, there are many combinations that are still available, and some of us really like to use key commands... However, when you use the exact same name for a menu item as a menu category, Apple OSX shortcut assignment fails. Example: "Window>System Usage" and "View>System Usage>name_of_view" So - if I wanted to make a key command for Window>System Usage - since the "System Usage" submenu in the view menu comes first, it gets stupid. Yes, apple's key commands system could be more intelligent - but SIMPLY renaming "System Usage" in the view menu to "System Usage View" (as well as "Transport View" and "Disk Space View") would allow users to use Apple's shortcut functions, and wouldn't require an extra 3rd party solution (that probably wouldn't be compato anyway). I figure the chances of this happening are slim to none, but at least on on the record suggesting this. I will also send it to the suggestion box. Thanks.
