Default General MIDI file Import gone crazy

Here goes...I used protools to put in some quick MIDI drums on a tune of mine. I realized after a few minutes of tedious protools midi editing that I needed to export the MIDI file from protools into DP4 so I could get down and dirty with it. I finished up the editing and saved the file as a general MIDI file. Now here's the problem when I imported the general MIDI file back into my session. It was placed all out of wack. Not placed nicely to the grid like it was. In fact upon super zoom in it isn't even close to any of the grid points and about 2 measures off. It was perfectly quantized too so that isn't it. So I opened the DP session again and looked at it. Looked fine there. Tried again same problem. Does anyone know why this has happened? I can fix it manualy but it will be a bit of a pain especialy when I had it perfect to begin with. Any ideas or advice let me know. Thanks
