Default Problem when record enabling a track

Hi,
I am running LE through MBox and an imac. I have recorded onto a number of audio tracks in a session, but now keep getting this horrible digital noise along with the level meter flying into the yellow - every time i try to record onto a track in the session. Can anyone tell me what this is and how to get rid of it? Some routing problem ? I recorded about 12 tracks of audio no problem, got a decent level and waveform but can not get rid of this signal noise.
Thanks helpful people!

My first guess would be to change the Mbox input from either Instrument, to Line, to Mic, see if that does anything. I'm sure you tried that already.

Yep, tried that. This happens for no reason. Everything is recording ok, then i rec enable a track and this noise level from mbox interferes. The only solution is closing down the session and re-opening. After that it is ok. But what the heck is this? and how do i get rid of it? Like i say - all the i/o settings look ok and it is recording fine except for this 'noisy' problem!!!@# Anyone else have any ideas?

Erm..I am still getting this interference on my audio tracks every now and then...i have no clue what this could be!
Like i say, the sound is like a rapid..static sound that is very loud (up in the yellow on the level meter)..sort of a white noise, but more rapid. Please...a wild guess? The novelty is wearing off.
