Couple of pan pots stuck and master fader fighting

On channels 14, 16 and 17 the pan pots do not work. I have tried switching them from pan to insert and back and forth and they will just not change any data. Also every once in a while the master fader will fight me and will not let me set the level via the D-Command. I have to change it via software on the screen. Then a few minutes later I can control it with the fader again. Also there are times when I have over say 28 tracks that the master fader will not show up on the D-Command at all even with banking through tracks. You can see all of the other tracks but the master. Very frustrating.

Sounds to me like you need to go into the utilities pages and fool around with the tests.

Not that that will be a guarentee to fix your problems but it should tell you more of the natture of them.


- do the pots respond to the 'touch' test for example
- there's a frequency indication in the test pages ... are the frequencies on the broken ones very different from the ones that do work ?

stuff like that.

Same for that fader really.

Ok I went into the test page and the two rotarys that are not working are highlighted in the scribble strip. Any idea on this Digi? I even did a reset and nothing changed.

time to contact your dealer and get him onto it imvho. While all this kinda sux in a unit like yours I can guarantee you that digi's Icon support and field service absolutely kicks rear ends ..... if there IS some fault in your controller it will be taken care off in the shortest possible delay. Get your dealer onto it ... quickest way to get things sorted out.
