using Kontakt 2 standalone with Digi 002R?

h'lo all,

I'm *trying* to run Kontakt 2 in standalone mode with midi fed from Digital Performer (5.13), using their Interapplication MIDI, with audio coming out of my 002R.
Digital Perf is open and set up correctly, but as soon as I open Kontakt 2 - - either Kontakt 2 or Kontakt Player 2 - - and load an instrument, the insturment's sound is crap - horribly distorted. And this happens even when triggering a note from Kontakt 2's internal kybd. - - I don't even need to send midi from DP - - just having the 2 programs open craps out the Kontakt 2.
Some other folks have suggested that there's a rub between Kontakt 2 and Digi's Core Audio driver, so I thought I'd see if any of you all are having similiar problems or, better yet, have had success running Kontakt 2 as a standalone with LE or DP?
