DADman, Control app, talkback engaging

With the current version fo DADman and the current version of Control/Eucontrol, when the Control app/Eucontrol locks to DADman, talkback is being engaged.
"Talkback on" is not saved in the DADman profile.
And it doesn't happen until the Control app locks to DADman.
I can even have the Dock only connect (Control app off) and it doesn't happen.

Current, I just disengage the talkback on the Control app. And luckily I don't restart my system often (only when required by a software/macOS update) so I don't have the initial Eucon + Control app locking to DADman often. And if I close and reopen the Control app, it doesn't engage talkback. It only happens on the first time the two lock together after DADman is started.

So you are saying just restarting the control app causes talkback to turn on? Or do you need to restart DADMan too?

DADman open, Control app open, Dock on, DADman close and reopen = talkback off
DADman open, Control app open, Dock on, Control app close and reopen = talkback on
DADman open, Control app open, Dock on, DADman turn off EuCon, turn on EuCon = talkback on
DADman open, Control app closed, Dock on, DADman turn off EuCon, turn on EuCon = talkback on
DADman open, Control app closed, Dock off, DADman turn off EuCon, turn on EuCon = talkback on

DADman open (EuCon running), all surfaces removed from Eucontrol, quit Eucontrol, open Eucontrol (monitoring shows locked to DADman) = talkback off, then focus to DADman by clicking on DADman window = talkback pops on.

So the problem doesn't seem to stem from the Control app or any of the surfaces but Eucontrol and DADman talking.

(all my MOM units were turned off for these tests to eliminate them as a possible reason)

We can't reproduce in our QA Studio, so I asked others to look for you(Jeff)

Wow. Something else must be going on with that system. I can't repro a single one of those permutations. Same DADman version and EuControl version. macOS 14.4.1.

It's not exactly consistent on what is the trigger. Today the turning just EuCon on/off in DADman isn't triggering it (which did consistently yesterday). However closing/opening Eucontrol does trigger it today (and didn't yesterday)
And the computer hasn't been turned off between yesterday and today (it's almost always on unless a driver installer or system install forces a restart)

I've sent you both a video.

The only thing that is consistent is it is only the talkback that is wonky.

update:
I think I found what was different between yesterday and today: I have Pro Tools open today. Minute I closed Pro Tools and focused to DADman, talkback came back on. And now when I turn EuCon off/on in DADman (with Pro Tools closed), talkback triggers on. Yesterday's tests are now the same as today once Pro Tools is off.

update 2:
Found the root cause. It's the "auto talkback" option in Eucontrol that's causing this to happen. It was checked. Unchecked it doesn't do this. This still seems like a bug as it's happening with just DADman.
