I'm getting full screen mpeg video!!!

I'm runnin my HD2 system on a TYAN mobo with an AMD Opteron CPU. PT 6.9.1, i'm usin a WinFast 6600GT TDH PCI Xpress card with dual monitor and TV outs. My MPG(VCD quality) videos that i open in PT comes full screen on my Television monitor.
But, if i close the video in PT the last frame that was open would be frozen on the TV screen. As long as the video runs in pro tools the video runs on the TV accurately to the frame, even scrubs in perfect sync. But if i drag the video off the PT workspace, then the TV shows the work space. if half the video in PT is out of the PT workspace then TV shows half or how much ever video can be seen on the VGA, when the video is dragged off PT the TV switches to cloned mode and i see the PT screen on the TV.
As long as the video can be seen fully in PT, it will show full screen on the TV. I guess this is better than not havin it full screen.
The same happens with QT movies.
But i can't seem to configure the TV to show it all in colour. Right now the cloned display of the PC and the video tht comes in PT is in B/W. :-( any ideas on this?
