Default \"Item\" - Saving Sessions and Duplicate Names

I am seeing something that I believe qualifies as an "Item" (the term used for things that get fixed in cs releases) with saving sessions. Here are the details:

Problem: When saving a session with v7.1cs8, the user is prompted that a session with that name already exists, even though the new session would have a different name.

Reproducible: Yes,

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open up a session from a version prior to v7.0 that did not have Mac/PC compatibility enforced.
2. Choose to save the session without changing the name.

What should happen: The session should be saved with the same name.

What does happen: The user is prompted that a session with that name already exists and that it will be overwritten.

Why this is an item: All v7 sessions have their names end in .ptf. So if my pre-version 7 session was named "version_6" and I went to save it with v7, it would then be named "version_6.ptf". Pro Tools is not taking this into account when saving sessions as v7 sessions. It appears to be oblivious to the fact that "version_6" and "version_6.ptf" are different names. Please consider addressing this issue (item), since it is, at the crux of the matter, not correct.

If anyone can confirm or refute this, please post a response.
