Default Regions List Display Problem

In a session that has a very large number of regions (a few thousand), the regions list displays only about 2/3 of the regions, with gray space below that. It seems to be allocatging the proper amount of space for all the regoins, but just not displaying them. In fact, the text of last one displayed is cut off half way down.

Also, most of the menu items for the regions list are grayed out.

This is the same on both of our systems which are:
Creation Station Dual 3.2 (Dual Core)
2 GB RAM
Windows XP Pro SP2
Protools LE 7.0 (002R)
ATI Graphics card with 256 MB RAM

The session plays back and edits OK.

Any ideas? Have we just hit some sort of internal limit?

Thanks for any help.
