East-West Quantum Leap has released a new player called
Hollywood Orchestra Opus. It doesn't replace their Play host, but is an alternative to it. One of the main features of Opus is the
Hollywood Orchestrator. The Orchestrator can be a real time saver in that it loads in all the instrument groups in the exact order they need to be in for a typical Hollywood score. They also provide a plethora of pre-made setups in different styles to get you started. Its pretty cool, actually. Of course, you can easily create your own set-ups. And, each individual track's midi can be easily exported to separate MIDI tracks in PT so you can edit further and make whatever changes you want to instrumentation, etc.
Opus can also host any of the EW modules you happen to own as well. It is also part of the EW subscription. I have to say, I have found it to be easy to use, easy on resources (so far), and inspires good ideas quickly. I really like it.
