For control surfaces, there's not much to choose from(personally, I have high hopes for the Behringer X-Touch, if they ever actually ship them). Artist Mix and/or Artist Control are worth a look, but do cost more. I just replaced my 003 with an HDN package, and while I do miss the surface, my little Presonus Faderport covers transport, quick-punch and fader rides just fine. In fact, the button I miss the most: SAVE
