Default Re: Midi controller stopped working with PT 11?

Going by past recent threads it looks like you're still having problems with your keyboard. First thing I would do is to get a free MIDI monitor program like MIDI-OX and use that to see that if at least your keyboard is communicating with your computer. Also make sure that, if you're using USB to connect the keyboard, the keyboard is plugged into a working USB port. Windows turns off USB ports by default as part of their power saving regime. Go into Windows Control Panel and turn off any power saving measures.

Before anyone can make a recommendation as to what to buy tell us this - what exactly do you need the keyboard to do? Just to play in notes or also have controls that PT can read? As long as a keyboard is class-compliant (which essentially means it doesn't need special drivers) or has specific drivers for it, then PT should see it providing you have things set up correctly on your computer.
