I’ve tried installing Pro Tools 2021.7 and 202.11 on one of my Windows systems (Win10 Pro 20H2) but when I go to run Pro Tools I get the error “Access is denied. (5)”. The only fix I can find on the DUC is to setup Pro Tools to 'Run as Administrator’. This fixes the issue, but then I also need to setup all other apps that send keystrokes to Pro Tools to 'Run as Administrator’ - e.g. my app
EdiCue. Does anyone have any more info on why Pro Tools is reporting the error “Access is denied. (5)” or how I might go about fixing this? Before I install a different version of PT I un-install the current version first.
