I've used a Yamaha O1v to get the full 18 I/O on my Digi 002 (8 ADAT, 2 S/PDIF), but that may be a bit much for you. I hear great things about the Focusrite OctoPre and the PreSonus Digimax 8-channel pres. Some people have also said some really great things about the Behringer ADA8000, too.
