yeah I agree with Stevo here... until you've manage to upgrade your way to Mercury then I agree with JCBigler.
Usually when you do upgrade it does renew your WUP, at $45 though, it sounds almost too good to be true. I think the only way to know if it is true is to contact Sales.
Odd, I'm usually telling people to contact support, I really don't know what to do when they have a "sales" question. This has never happened before.
But that $200+ you only need to pay when NEED to upgrade to a more recent Waves "version". Although, Mac users have copped that a few times over the last few recent years as Apple keeps making big underlying changes which costs them a lot of money to trawl through every plugin so they can update it and test it while maintaining backwards compatibility.
