Two consoles in one
On a 32 fader model with the D-control in the middle, and with the new PT 6.7, you can Right center justify the custom faders and the first one starts closest to your right hand and add going away from you to the right. You can make the custom group 16 faders on your right hand and have all the non-custom fader tracks occupying the left side and you can quickly bank around with your left hand and the right hand side sits still, and at any moment you can pop up what you want on the right side. It's like having two completely separate mixers. It's more logical for me since it goes upwards to the right.
