Just curious if there's a discussion there... Meaning, is one just as good as the other? Or does a 2nd internal actually read & write data faster than a firewire drive?

Thanks for the tips-
I had a MDD 1.25 (loved that machine!). I now have a dual 2.7 G5 with two internal and two external FW drives. From running drive diagnostics I can tell you that the 2nd internal drive has transfer times that are faster than either of my external drives (and one is a FW 800) with my set up at least. The internal is a western digital and I have a seagate and Lacie external.

YMMV
