Definitely Disk-At-Once is the way to go. I use Jam, which is DAO only. There seems to be a bit more debate about the best speed. Some say burn at 1X, some say burn at 2X, some say burn at the fastest speed your burner will support. For example, Digi's documentation for Masterlist CD recommends using the fastest speed available. At various times I've subscribed to all three theories, and I've had no problems with replications of masters burned at 1X, 2X, and 8X. The biggest factor seems to be correctly matching burner and media.
