This appears to happen after changing the sample rate from Hardware Setup (with no session open). After the SR change, the Sync X is removed from the list of clock sources, the previous SR is displayed on the Sync X front panel, and the MTRX fails to lock: it receives the SR change via DigiLink but the WC is at the old rate. (The HD I/O, on Loop Sync, locks to the correct sample rate immediately.)
After closing Hardware Setup, the correct SR is displayed on the Sync X front panel, and the MTRX is locked.
When reopening Hardware Setup, the Clock and Loop Master are displayed as SYNC HD (rather than Sync X).
