Default Re: AUDIO SUITE PLUG INS

RTAS and Audio Suite plug ins work differently.. RTAS works like a piece of outboard gear, in that, your computer plays the audio file "through" the plugin in realtime.. With the Audio Suite plugins, you actually are making a new audio file. So, you need to select what you want to affect. If it's the entire track, just triple click and that should select that entire audio on that track, then go to the audio suite menu and select what you want, and when you hit apply or OK or whatever, it will make a new audio file and put it in the place where the other was. Your old file will still be on your drive, just not in that track anymore..

Also, with Audio Suite plugins you can't "tweak" anything afterwards.. You have to go back and make a new file, which can get annoying if you are just trying to match 2 sounds together. But, AS plugins don't use anymore CPU power than just playing back a track. So, AS plugins come in handy when you know exactly what you want to do and are running very short on CPU power..
