At what point do you get this error?

I drag the file from workspace to the multitrack window to drop it, a couple of second later task window shows up wit the dae-43 error




Is it as soon as you drop the files, when you hit play, etc.?

more or less within 10 seconds after i have dropped them into multitrack. it looks like it starts to move it over for a while before the error shows up in task window





What happens if you drag the file to the region bin,
then drag the newly created region to the timeline? Also,

Same thing.but i never get a chance to drag the newly created region to the timeline while Pt is trying to move it to regionlist same thing happens task windows pops up with the dea-43 eroor




what happens if you hold the Alt key down when you drop - this forces PT to make a copy of the file?

Same thing, but ontop of what happened before I also get the missing file window popping up
