Default Re: ProTools HD and Access Virus TI ??

Hi,

I was using it recently on 7.4cs4 on 10.4.11, and yes the RTAS Virus Control does work to some degree. To qualify this, running Virus Control under PT is no where near as smooth as under logic or cubase, but to be fair to PT, virus control isnt a normal plugin.

If your using VC (Virus Control) as a patch librarian, and editor, then its fine, but streaming audio via plugin leads to a huge issue concerning ADC, even set at maximum which the default template project file they provide is far from satisfactory in my book. I prefer to run normal midi 5pin din input/output to the TI, and bring the audio back in via either spdif or analog outs into my Protools interfaces. This works very well, midi clock works as it should, and even the arpeggiators sync well most of the time too if you setup midi in protools to sent tempo sync etc. This is the most problem free configuration.
