Pretty ugly issue even for Avid. Video Engine inoperable on my system - stalls
at Waiting for video engine to launch so no video engine. And the uninstaller is broken - greyed out. Tried all the usual fixes reinstalls, prefs etc. No go. I hope somebody comes up with something soon. I'll keep trying.
