I have a lot of instruments to record into protools sometimes I exceed 16 I/O's, just want to be able to do it all at once...Now the 18 I/O's you mentioned is that spidf for the 2 extras? And how does that work? Do you need to be working with spidf out to spidf in (digital only) i mean i cant plug a guitar into a spidf in port. now i'm curious.
