Yes, that exact same thing was what happened to me as I started that thread on registering. There has been all sorts of site issues with Avid of late. I don't know it this is part of it. I know several times that I go to AVID it is in German, and I have to translate. ODD.
Actually it was Mark Corbin that fixed my issue.
