I have been syncing video using Logic Pro. I import the video into logic and sync over the IAC bus. You should be able to do this in any sequencer that takes video, I would think. it's not perfect, but it does work.

For those who like to pay subscriptions by the year, you can use Video Sync 5 (formerly Video Slave.)
