PT 2021.3 does run on the M1 quite well with the video engine albeit with a few minor hiccups. Yes, it’s all under Rosetta 2. IMO it holds up and it gets the job done.
Even though it’s not officially authorized I’ve been running on my system since late March.
If you’re considering going out to buy the M1 Mac I’d wait about a month if you can. New updates are coming to the Apple product line.
