Yes you can, ive done it... the new macpro with 2 ssd gets deliverd from Apple as one combined drive.
Ive seperated the 2tb into 3 partitions, one 1tb ssd has 2 partitions (500gb each) and one ssd has 1tb audio partition.
It means you need to start from scratch, install os again etc.
