I'm trying to setup Songwriter 2007 with my 001. I loaded it on my main applications drive (no PT) and S.W. midi setup
recognized my keyboard and the 001. This drive is loaded with Panther 10.3.9. I have a second drive with my audio apps., running Panther 10.3.6 as I learned here that PT LE 6.4 doesn't like any higher version of Panther than 10.3.6.
Songwriter won't run on 10.3.6 so I can't use it on my Pro Tools drive (I've tried).

Since Songwriter midi setup does recognize the 001 on the main drive, while not having PT loaded on that drive, is there anyway I can use the 001 as a standalone midi interface to run Songwriter? I don't know anything about Coreaudio.

Or, if I need to run PT 6.4 for the 001 to accomodate Songwriter, can I load it on the 10.3.9 drive, fully recognizing that I shouldn't actually record with this config., just to use my keyboard to enter notes with Songwriter?

Or, how the hell do I make this work?? I've tried to surf the answerbase, not getting it.

I'd really appreciate any help or suggestions.
