One of my good buddies here in town said he'd teach me everything I needed to know about Pro Tools MIDI (he's VERY good) but NOT until I got all my midi devices talking to each other. So I haven't messed with it yet!!!!
However, if you have the ASR output expander, can't you assign each track to its own output, and patch the 8 ASR outs to the 8 002R ins and just dump them in analog?
Other thing is, do you have your ASR set up to accept an external midi source? Used to sync mine to a stack of DA88's that way, using a smpte-midi converter.
