Default Re: Importing Audio From a DVD???

Hello. It depends on what kind of DVD you are referring to, and more to the point, what kind of audio file the DVD was authored with. I would dare say about 100% of DVD-Video's in the market (Jurassic Park, Eric Clapton in Concert, etc) are authored with compressed Dolby Digital, DTS or MPEG-2. Pro Tools will only read MP3's and WMA's in the compressed arena.

If the video had actual .aif or .wav files it could probably read them and import them. However if you are talking about a DVD-R, -RW, +R or +RW disc, then whatever .aif, .wav, .mp3 or .wma data is in there will be imported with no problem.
