Hello. Technically they are still making at least two computer lines that are designed and intended for professional use, and which also happen to have that in their name. They still make the Macbook Pro laptop and the Mac Pro computer. The ashtray Mac Pro is a phenomenal machine for graphics and video editing for even the most demanding professional gig. For audio it is a bit more cumbersome but still very capable. The laptop is pretty good still for professional applications.

However that's neither here nor there. While we could argue about the viability of a computer for professional uses, what can't be argued is that Apple as a corporation couldn't give a rat's behind about professional applications or products. They went so far as to take the mention of it off of their corporate definition, their mission statement that had been a part of for over a decade.

Now you may argue that they just took professional 'applications' off but that doesn't mean they don't make professional 'products'. As I mentioned above that's neither here nor there. The fact is they are now and have been for quite a while all about consumer products. iPhone, iPad, iOs, iTunes, etc. If they stopped selling computers altogether it would be a blip on their radar.

As some of you may already know, Apple is doing R&D for either manufacturing a car or doing something major related to car navigation and/or car entertainment. Every day that passes Apple moves further and further away from anything remotely related to the Audio, Video and Graphics professions. This can not be questioned by anyone.
