Default Re: I GOT IT!! WINDOWS 7 64 bit AND 003R DRIVERS!

Hello everyone. So just registered here on the DUC and this is my first post. Just thought I would chime in on this topic and hope I help a few people! I've been really excited to switch to Windows 7 64-bit and wasn't going to give up until I got it running! I couldn't be happier. So far my system is running fast and stable. I haven't fully tested it yet with a large session but so far no audio problems.

So I did pretty much the same thing as Ke productions recommended. Except I didn't install the drivers in safe mode and I am using a 002mixer. Here are my steps.

1) I booted windows 7 normally.
2) Installed PT 8.0.3 with my 002 disconnected, as per digidesign instructions.
3) Then I tried to install the 8.0.4b drivers but the installer told me drivers were already installed and to remove them via Windows control panel. So I did that.
4) Then I reran the 8.0.4b installer. The installer never prompted me to connect the 002 like the Digidesign instructions said it would. So I was a little nervous.
5) I connected and powerd on my 002. It was detected and installed. But PT would BSOD on startup.
6) So I did basically what Ke productions recommended and manually updated the 002 drivers. went to control panel, device manager, sounds video and game controllers, right clicked on digi002, update driver software, browse my computer, let me pick from a list, click have disk, clicked browse, went to C:\program files (x86), Digidesign, drivers, dg003_64, clicked on dg003.inf, installed the drivers, Computer said finish, rebooted, and VOILA!!!!!
