I'm only trying to remember how to select to the end of a part with a keystroke, (instead of swiping all. the. way. to. the. end. which.. takes... ages...).
Either that or how to insert a bit of space so I can put in some new music.

Tp answer your search for a keystroke, turn "Tab To Transients" off. Select a region, then use the tab key to go to the end of that region. Tabbing again will go to the next region (if any), option-tab will move you earlier in time, add the shift key to select (highlight).
I have also had problems with the manuals where trying to open a manual in the "Help" menu results in a crash, But I don't think it was limited to PT...
