No. All versions of Pro Tools LE are authorized by the Digidesign Hardware, and can only be run with a LE interface (003R, 002, 11R, Mbox2, ect...) connected.
M-Powered and HD used iloks.
Now with Pro Tools 9, the authorization is an iLok with the correct license, and any hardware can be used that is Core or ASIO compliant.
