Thanks, and I'll definately be looking for a pair of those extremely thin needle-nose...but before I got a reply here (or got through the labyrinth of Digidesign's phone support) I panicked and brought the unit to a pro audio repair shop. He looked at it and said "Wow, man, you're f**ked." And that's a direct quote. Anyway, my 001 is in the shop tonight, and it's probably going to cost me in excess of $100 to get the damn thing out. This place came highly recommended by a trusted source, so I'm trusting that he's right and it's not a simple matter of just pulling it out with needle-nose pliers. But after reading your responses, I can't help but think I might be getting taken for a little ride...
