This has happened to me a few times in my career. What you need to do is go to a pro-electronics supply store and get a very very narrow pair of needle nose pliers. They make really thin and pointy versions that work quite nicely. I checked Radio Hack store a number of times but never found any that were thin enough to fit in there.
