My Digi001 is long since gone – and so is my old PC – and I need to re-open a bunch of old PC Logic 5.5 projects that were created using the DirectIO / DIO driver.

Does anyone know which legacy Digi/Avid hardware I can buy (preferably USB, ideally not PCI or FireWire) actually works with Logic using DirectIO? MBox 1? Mbox 2? Mbox 3?!

Bonus points if you know if DirectIO also works when running Windows in Parallels / VirtualBox?!

p.s: I have a Digi002R rack in storage, however, from what I've ready FireWire is not accessible from within Parallels (FireWire may be possible from VirtualBox? I can't find information and have yet to try).

The Issue: If I run Logic 5.5 and switch the driver from DirectIO to ASIO – or if I import Logic 5.5 projects into (macOS) Logic (I have tried 7.2.3, 8, 9, and X)*– *all* plugins are removed from the mixer/Environment. The plugins are tied to the DirectIO / DIO driver.
