Someone who uses a lot of VIs could probably chime in here... If they do gobble up lots of RAM, that would be a definite advantage of that Mac Pro.

And I imagine the overall performance of a 12-core Mac Pro would be way higher than the 6-core Mac Mini, even if the processor is much newer.

I was just thinking of options if you really wanted to stick with the Apollo.
