This site does indeed rock, thanks to you, Tweakhead, and other generous, informed folks. Such attitude is contagious. Long live DUC.

I should qualify the use of the Adaptec 3940 SCSI card. It works well as a means of copying stuff from drive to drive, but not as the messenger for session work. It just can't handle the data bursts. At least it co-exists in HD on the 9.2.2 system.
