I know. I have it too.
It's always been like this, in my experience. PT doesn't remember windows placements/sizes, show/hide status etc. and I can't get windows configurations to help. I'm just used to arranging windows manually everytime I open a session, I don't even think about it anymore. Same problem with track folder open/collapsed status. It's silly. But we're so used to Avid not fixing stupid little things like this.
PS: while I'm at it; WTF, what other application in history has it as a first thing to do when something doesn't work, that
you should trash your preferences file!!!? I want my preferences to stick, damn it! Just as a note; I haven't trashed prefs at all for a couple of years, just for the hell of it, and everything (mostly) still works!
