You have bounced different output/bus than you thought? Say you monitor using outputs 1-2 and the bounce window has output 3-4 assigned. Your stuff goes to outputs 1-2 and outputs 3-4 hear silence. Double-check that bounce window and I bet your problem is found right there.

This is weird. before FINALLY updating to 11.2.1 i was able to bounce files just by choosing where to bounce and all audio would be heard. I've selected the output properly but i had to change the outputs on each track channel in order to hear the bounce (if that makes any sense).
