Hey Frank,

You can only get to the automation features through the soft keys on either a Control or a Transport. You are able to cycle through the automation modes on the faders (touch, latch, etc.) with the Mix but it's clumsy as your fingers will have a hard time pressing the Auto button without touching the fader. Also the readout on the scribble script is a little cryptic in telling you what mode you are in.
