What I'm describing is not the power harness issue. I experienced that a couple of years ago. What we're describing is a flashing 1394 light which I believe is due to some firewire conflict.
The way you know it's power harness is the 002r "resets" itself. it's easy to tell because it gives you the "clicks" when powering up and the mute is engaged.
