Thanks for the extra info. I have no idea what is going on here. I was guessing you were trying to install some really old version of Pro Tools… but nope. This is asking for the driver for some old Ethernet connected legacy Digidesign control surfaces like the C|24. If you don’t have one of those you should be able to ignore the message. I am not sure why you see the error at all… did you change any of the Pro Tools installer default options? You are just running the main Pro Tools installer?
You used the Avid Link application or you mean you downloaded the installer manually from Avid.com? I am not sure how the Avid Link program might cause this problem, but Link has had far too many problems. Many of us uninstall it and manage our own downloads/installs from our Avid.com accounts.
