Although MBOX Studio is being marketed as having 4 mic pre's, in actuality you have the ability to directly connect 8 microphones without the need for outboard mic pre's! Line inputs 5-8 have the same 60dB gain range as mic inputs 1-4, just no phantom power. Need to mic up drums? We've got you...unless it's Terry Bozzio's kit of course!
These are TRS inputs so you just need to use TRS to XLR cables with your dynamic mics. #themoreyouknow
